Regular events will be held throughout the year. Priority to attend events is given to members. If you have a particular topic you would like to discuss contact us at Diversity in Publishing Network and we will do our best to accommodate your suggestion. Watch this space for more news and updates.

Event Guidelines:

The Diversity in Publishing Network events provide a forum to discuss contemporary issues surrounding diversity and related topics in publishing. All participants engaging in these discussions are expected to adhere to the spirit of our guidelines:

Overall Purpose
That those attending should come away with a greater understanding of the issues discussed, and with an increased appreciation of the different views that may be held.

Conduct
We are only able to progress by listening to and understanding other views. We expect everyone attending our events to:
* value their own experience and knowledge, and respect this in others
* allow other people to speak and express their views
* Keep the discussion relevant to the topic being discussed
* Feel free to disagree, but engage in a friendly disagreement
* Respect the instructions of the chair
* To ensure free and open discussion, we do not allow questions about individual books, authors or campaigns particularly when the publisher involved is on the panel. These type of discussions can be had after the event - or directly with the publisher involved.
